On-Campus Recruiting

The Office of Career Services offers employers several options for hiring our students and recruiting. Employers have the ability to interview students during our formal on-campus interview (OCI) programs. Our office also offers employers who are not able to travel to our campus during OCI the option of collecting resumes or posting on our job bank, Peruna Pro - powered by 12Twenty. Employers are also welcome to interview on campus in the Office of Career Services at any time during the year for positions they have posted on the job bank. Additionally, we can assist in arranging virtual interviews for employers who cannot come to campus.

2026-2027 Recruiting Programs

Join us to recruit JD students for spring, summer, and post-graduate positions and Tax LLM, General LLM, and International LLM students for spring and post-graduate positions during one of our 2026-2027 Recruiting Programs. 

Employers may engage with 1L JD students starting September 14, 2026. Further information about 1L recruiting opportunities will be available this summer. 

There is no fee to participate in any of our recruiting programs. Interview dates are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For questions about our On-Campus Recruiting Programs, please contact Moira Cary (mcary@smu.edu).

Overview and Timelines

Fall Recruiting Program (October 1 - 9, 2026):

  • Registration is open through September 2 in  for interviews held in-person on campus or virtually via Flo Recruit (in-person dates: Oct. 1 - 7; virtual dates: Oct. 8 and 9).

To conduct interviews virtually, please select the virtual option under "Interview Format" and select interview date of October 8 or 9 on your registration form. We will handle all scheduling on your behalf and host virtual interviews through Flo Recruit.  

  • Employers receive student materials at noon on September 11 and employer candidate selections are due back to us by noon on September 17. Final schedules are available to employers at noon on September 19. 

Houston Interview Program (Winter Break 2026/2027):

  • Exact dates and details forthcoming.

Spring Recruiting Program (late February - early March, 2027):

  • Registration will open in  following the conclusion of the Fall Recruiting Program.

Resume Collection Program: 

Can't participate in one of our interview programs? Let us know and we can work with you to post a job to participate as a resume collection employer.
