Youth Programs & Camps

The Caruth Institute for Engineering Education currently sponsors a variety of outreach opportunities related to STEM programs, with an emphasis on engineering for middle and high school students. These include Summer Camps, the Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair (DRSEF), TEDxKids@SMU, and STEM Websites.

Other Camps

The Hamon Engineering Camps are for local, middle and high school students. We work with our partner schools to fill these camps.

For more information please contact us at hamonengineer@smu.edu.

This camp is a week-long science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) hands-on residential summer camp that helps students explore the practical applications of STEM endeavors and exposes students to exciting career options that involve high-tech skills. This camp is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission and is for the top senior division winners of the Texas Science and Engineering Fair.
